HODGDON – Eugene “Butch” Roy McCordic, 67, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011. He went peacefully in the presence of his immediate family at a Bangor hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1943, in Littleton, son of Bea (Campbell) and Charlie McCordic.
Butch attended school in Littleton and Houlton. Butch began driving truck at an early age. He then worked for A.E. Staley’s for 33 years and retired in 2000. Butch enjoyed listening to classic rock music and playing bass guitar. He also enjoyed riding and working on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Merritt) McCordic of Hodgdon; his son, Braden and his wife, Lori, of Connecticut; his son, Greg and his wife, Adrianne, of Houlton; his daughter, Shannon Prosser and her husband, Danny, of Ludlow; his son, Darren of Houlton; his brother, James and his wife, Judy, of Ludlow; his sister, Sheryl Skillinger and her husband, Buddy, of Linneus; his sister, Donna and her husband, Jack, of Houlton; and his sister, Lorraine and her husband, Gary, of Monticello. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shasta Prosser and her fiance, Josh Shields, and his son, Dayton; Kyal, Kody, Dillan, Kilian, Erica and Leslie; great-grandchildren, Julian and Tate; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
