WOODLAND – Stephen J. Thomas, 51, died unexpectedly July 26, 2011, in Caribou. He was born Jan. 3, 1960, in Caribou, son of the late Wesley and Dora (Burby) Thomas.
Stephen was a 1978 graduate of Caribou High School and later received a degree from Northern Maine Technical College in carpentry. He was employed by Powers Roofing for a number of years. He also was a self-employed general contractor, and owned and operated Northern Pine Cleaning Service.
He is survived by one brother, William “Bill” Thomas of Woodland; one sister, Virginia “Ginny” Donovan of Woodland; one aunt, Ginny Harmon of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Natalie Thomas; and three brothers, Albert, Galen and Paul Thomas.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 29, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
