ROCKWOOD – Michael L. Mazur, 65, died July 28, 2011, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville. He was born June 19, 1946, in Northampton, Mass., son of Charles and Arlene (Griffin) Mazur.
After he graduated from Williamsburg High School, Mike went to Minnesota, where he worked for Polaris Industries. After several years with Polaris, Mike and his family moved back to Massachusetts, where he opened Middlesex Power Equipment & Marine, Tyngsboro, Mass., which he operated for more than 20 years. In 1998 they moved to Rockwood, where he opened “The Shop,” which he operated until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Batura) Mazur of Rockwood; a daughter, Christina Colasanto of New Ipswich, N.H., and her husband, Michael, of Manchester, N.H.; a son, Michael Mazur and his wife, Tracey, of Wrentham, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Nina, Brett, Mackenzie and Jake.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Mike’s life 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at The Shop restaurant. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to C.A. Dean Hospital, P.O.
