BOSTON and VAN BUREN – The Rev. Lucien Maxime Chasse, S.M., 94, of Boston, formerly of Van Buren, died Friday, July, 29, 2011, in Boston. He was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Van Buren, son of Belonie and Marie (Desrosiers) Chasse.
He is survived by his cherished siblings, Stella Chasse of Van Buren, Aurelien Chasse of Houlton, Leola Ouellette and husband, Norman, of Peabody, Mass., the Rev. Joseph Chasse, S.M., of Framingham, Mass., Theresa Smith of Fayetteville, N.C., Jeannine Lynch of Norwood, Mass., Emilio Chasse and wife, Betty, of Syracuse, N.Y., and Susie Chasse of Van Buren, and Norwood, Mass.; many loving nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Juliette Plourde, Muriel Violette, Lourdes Chasse and Zelpha Collins; and one brother, Zoel Chasse.
Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday.
