ROBBINSTON – Colin Whitney Morrison, 87, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Calais Regional Hospital. Colin was born July 3, 1924, in Robbinston, son of the late Burton and Mattie (Quinn) Morrison.

After graduating from Calais Academy, he worked in the local sardine factories until starting his career as an electrician. Colin was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 567, retiring in 1987. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Helena (McNutt) Morrison. Surviving are his daughter, Mary Parks and her husband, Albert, of Calais; two sons, Ronald and John Morrison; a sister, Corrine Diffin of Florida; four grandchildren, Diana Mahar and her husband, Arthur, of Pembroke, Troy Morrison and his wife, Shannon, of Perry, John Clark and his wife, Helen, of Baileyville, and James Parks and his wife, Jenn, of New York; and nine great-grandchildren, Cameron Morrison, Rachael Mahar, Wyatt Mahar, Lance Morrison, Amber Gutierrez, Myka Clark, Garrett Clark, Spencer Parks and Hannah Parks.

A private graveside service will be held at Brewer Cemetery, Robbinston. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport. Condolences and memories may be shared at
