PASADENA, Texas – Sandra Louise (Brown) Hoffman Wellman, 65, died Aug. 16, 2011. Sandra was born Aug. 20, 1945, in Belfast, the first daughter of Robert and Marion (Whitcomb) Brown.

She was a 1963 graduate of Crosby High School. She became a licensed beautician after training at D’Lor Beauty School. Sandra held various jobs, including Tibbett’s Industries, Camden, and Penobscot Poultry Co., Belfast. After the closing of the poultry company, she relocated to Pasadena, Texas, where she worked for Exxon/Mobil, then Walmart.

She finished her working career as a housekeeper for a local nursing home in Texas. Some of her favorite pastimes included babysitting for young children, volunteering at a nursing home, reading and sewing.

Sandra was predeceased by her infant son, Frank Hoffman III, in 1974; and her parents. She is survived by her godchild, Tessa Thompson of Pasadena, Texas; sister, Brenda Davenport of Mount Vernon; brother, Chuck Brown and wife, Jane, of Hull, Texas; and nephews, Robert Brown of Pasadena, Texas, and Christopher Connor and his wife, Shannon, and children, Dylan and Haley of Bucksport. She will be sadly missed by Karen Love and many other friends.

A memorial service was held Aug. 20 at Pine Tree Lodge, Pasadena, Texas. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Paul Cemetery, Birches Road, Waldo. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to a charity of their choice. Arrangements by Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
