CARMEL – Scott A. Mayhew, 44, passed away Aug. 18, 2011.
He was born Sept. 22, 1966, in Bangor, the son of Frank and Dorothy M. (Mckay) Mayhew Jr.
Scott had worked in the logging industry all of his life, beginning with his dad at the age of 14. At the time of his death, he was employed with Dysart’s as a woodcutter. He was a loving and devoted family man and happiest when spending time with them hunting and fishing. Scott truly adored his five grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his loving wife of 24 years, Terry Mayhew of Carmel; two daughters, Shantelle Mayhew Edkins and her husband, Corey, and their three children, Alexys, Caleb and Sayde, all of Plymouth, and Tasha Mayhew Robichaud and her husband, Tim, and their two sons, Ryan and Jackson, all of Dixmont; three sisters, Peggy Smith and her husband, Dennis, Cindy St. Louis and her husband, Tommy, and Anna Kramer and her husband, Mickey; three brothers, Frank Mayhew III and his wife, Vicky, Tim Mayhew and his wife, Trish, and John Mayhew and his wife, Michelle; many close nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Carmel Full Gospel Church, 965 Main Road, Carmel, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, with Pastor Tammy Noyes, sister-in-law, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. Gifts in his memory may be sent to a benefit in his honor, care of Carmel Full Gospel Church, 965 Main Road, Carmel, ME 04419.
