EXETER – Helen Plummer, 76, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at a Brewer nursing home. She was born March 11, 1935, in Exeter, a daughter of Hattie (Curtis) and Pearl Pushor.
She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, class of 1953.
Helen worked several years in shoe factories in Bangor and Old Town. She liked quilting and making dolls.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Plummer; and a brother, Robert Curtis. Helen is survived by a stepdaughter, Robin Tardy and her husband, Jim, of LaGrange; three sisters, Beverly Dauber and husband, Wayne, of California, Arlene Mooers and Lilla Demmons, both of Exeter; one brother, David Curtis and wife, Bobbie, of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of services.
