HUDSON, N.H. – David Albert Larlee, 74, died Aug. 29, 2011. He was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Millinocket, to Preston and Evelyn Larlee.
David served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Northeastern University and retired from Lockheed Martin in 1999 after 32 years. David was instrumental in the creation and success of several nonprofit organizations in Nashua, N.H., and Hudson, N.H. David was recognized with the Outstanding Volunteer, Governor of NH Award in 1989; Paul Harris Fellowship, Rotary Association in 1991; and Citizen of the Year, Hudson Chamber of Commerce in 1995.
Family includes his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Town Larlee of Hudson, N.H.; daughter, Lisa Pemberton of Hayward, Calif.; son, Kevin Larlee of Cushing; daughter, Jennifer Larochelle of Manchester, N.H.; daughter, Melinda Larlee of San Diego; three grandchildren; brother, Bryant Larlee of Benton; sister, Katherine Pace of Homer, La.; many cousins, nieces, nephews, an uncle and an aunt.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at First Baptist Church of Hudson, 236 Central St., Hudson, N.H. A private interment will take place at a later date in Milo.
