BRADFORD and WESTBROOK – Jacob Michael Perkins died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, in a tragic car accident.
Jake loved everything outdoors, especially snowmobiling. He loved hanging out with friends. His truck was his baby. Working with trees was Jake’s calling. He was little “monkey man.” He would do anything for anyone, anytime. We will all remember his joking manner and huge smile. He touched so many lives. He was loved by so many and we were all proud of him.
He is survived by his mother, Amanda Perkins; stepdad, Tom Whight; a brother, Lucas Perkins; father, Jason Hyde; sisters, Bethany and Lilly Hyde; grandparents that considered him a son, Lewis Hyde and Peggy Crowley; aunt and uncle, Danielle and Shawn Lawson; cousins, Breanna Lawson; a cousin who was like a brother, Shawn Jr.; grandparents, Dwight and Rosemary Perkins; grandmother, Susan Lussier; uncle, Patrick and aunt, Lori Crowley; uncle, Jonathan Perkins and fiancee, Shannon Clukey; aunt, Desiree and cousin, Natalie Giles; many more aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Visiting hours will be held 2 p.m. until the start of funeral services 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Westbrook Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Arrangements are by Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.
