FRANKFORT – Mary Ann Flewelling, 60, passed away Sept. 10, 2011, at her home. Mary Ann was born Dec. 21, 1950, in Princeton, the daughter of Charles F. and Frances Y. (Dwelley) Lawler.
Mary Ann grew up in Winterport, where she attended schools before working as a beautician and as a manager at Rich’s. Most of all, Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and homemaker. She loved spending time with her family making many moments very special, particularly Christmas Eve. Mary Ann was an avid antique collector and enjoyed her cats, Belle and Thomas.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, David R. Flewelling of Frankfort; daughters, Dawn Caron of Holden and Michelle Keller of Winterport; grandchildren, Sarah and Molly Caron of Holden and Sadie and Joshua Golder of Winterport; stepchildren, Wayne Flewelling and wife, Sherry, of Winterport, Ronnie Flewelling and wife, Shannon, of Monroe, John Flewelling and wife, Sarah, of Lamoine and Wendy Robertson and husband, Scott, of Hermon; siblings, Rebecca Green and husband, Jerry, of Detroit, Michael Lawler and wife, Kathy, of Hampden and Anthony Lawler and wife, Barbara, of Newburgh; six stepgrandchildren; her two feline friends, Belle and Thomas; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Charles Richard Lawler.
Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a private funeral will be held for close family and friends 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15.
