OCALA, Fla., and FORT FAIRFIELD – Beulah M. Hartsgrove, 95, wife of the late Avon L. Hartsgrove, passed away Thursday afternoon, Sept. 15, 2011, at an Ocala, Fla., hospice facility, after an extended period of declining health. She was born March 26, 1916, in Fort Fairfield, daughter of Owen and Amelia (Harish) Clark.

She was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and was married to Avon L. Hartsgrove,

Oct. 23, 1936.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hartsgrove was predeceased by her husband, Avon, June 27, 1998; one grandson, Jay Michael Cooper; as well as several siblings. She is survived by one daughter, Judith Ann Cooper of Ocala, Fla.; three grandsons, Drew and James Cooper, both of Ocala, Fla., and Richard Cooper of Manchester, Conn.; five great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, with Pastor Ronald Doughty officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Hartsgrove to Hospice of Marion County, Inc., 3231 SW 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
