HUDSON – Freeman Gerald Brawn Jr., 55, died Sept. 29, 2011, at a Boston hospital. He was born June 5, 1956, in Bangor, son of Freeman Gerald Sr. and Shirley Rose (Kyer) Brawn.

Freeman had been employed for 30 years by Cianbro Corp., Pittsfield, retiring as a superintendent. He spent his retirement at his Pushaw Lake camp with his wife and enjoyed his children, six grandchildren and family. Freeman was an avid New England sports enthusiast, enjoying the Patriots, Red Sox and Boston Celtics.

Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Peggy (Salls) Brawn of Hudson; four children, Freeman Brawn and his wife, Lisa, Matthew Brawn and his wife, Jennifer, and Jonathan Brawn, all of Hudson, and Nichole Clark and her husband, Darrick, of Kenduskeag; six grandchildren, Madison, Marin and Meadow Brawn, Elizabeth Brawn, and Brynn and Harrison Clark; one sister, Cheryl Brown and her husband, Stephen; three brothers, Dale Brawn and his wife, Janice, Jerome Brawn and his wife, Amy, and Gregory Brawn and his wife, JoAnn; sisters-in-law, Kathy LePage and her husband, Ira, and Janet LePage and her husband, Edward; brother-in-law, John Salls and his wife, Corinna; mother-in-law, Betty McTigue and her husband, John; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
