OLD TOWN – Leola Ethel Davis, 73, wife of the late Edwin Davis, died Oct. 10, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Burlington, daughter of Eugene and Esther (Shorey) Sibley.
Leola loved living on Pushaw Lake. She loved big family gatherings and enjoyed crocheting things for her grandkids.
She is survived by seven children, Barbara Babcock and her husband, Dale, of Lowell, Vickie Hesseltine and her friend, James Beatham, of Old Town, Eugene Curtis and his wife, Laurie, of Tennessee, Sarah Curtis and her friend, Ed Keene, of Turner, Ashley Curtis Jr. of Lincoln, Benn Curtis and his wife, Crystal, of Milford, and Calvin Curtis and his wife, Melissa, of Lowell; two brothers, John Sibley and his wife, Linda, of Brewer, and Paul Sibley and his wife, Thelma, of Windham; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Edwin, she was predeceased by a brother, Dickie; and a sister, Jeanette.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. John Fennell officiating.
