LURAY, Va., SPRINGFIELD, Va., and BANGOR – Julia Marie Hanson, 30, passed away peacefully Sept. 13, 2011, in Springfield, Va., after many years of ill health. She was born Oct. 13, 1980, in Falls Church, Va., the daughter of Barbara D. Sproul and Wayne G. Hanson.
She is survived and greatly missed by her mother, father; sister, Kirsten; brother-in-law, Brad; nephew, Benjamin; niece, Brady; Anne Hanson; Crawford Stanley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
A private graveside service to celebrate Julie’s life was held Sept. 28 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Donations in Julie’s memory may be made to American Institute of Cancer Research, attention: Memorial Department – Adolescent Cancer Research, 1759 R St. NW, Washington, DC 20009.
