JONESPORT – Arthur Woodrow Robinson Jr., 67, died Oct. 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Jonesport, son of Arlene (Norton) and Arthur Robinson Sr.
He enjoyed stock cars and NASCAR, camping, hunting, fishing, walks in the woods and gambling. He worked for many years on the ocean scallop dragging on the Trip Ladies and quahogging for Beal Lobster.
He is survived by a special friend and companion, Dotty Closson; a loving daughter, Dawn Johnson and her companion, Dwight Smith Jr.; his No. 1 son, Sam “Bouk”; two long lost daughters, Cheryl and Tammy; brothers and sisters, Greta Graham, Curtis Sr. and wife, Betsy, James Sr. and wife, Kitty, Craig and wife, Wendy, Karen Beal and husband, Tommy, and Gayle Davis and husband, Eddie; one grandson, Larry Emerson III; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Clinton; and a very special friend, Patricia Johnson.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a celebration of his life 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at his home. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
