OAKFIELD – Richard “Dick” Morton, 65, died Oct. 27, 2011, at his home. He was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Oakfield, son of Nelson and June (Crane) Morton.
Dick owned and operated Morton’s Garage for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sally (Thayer) Morton of Oakfield; three children, Mary Jane Hartt and Ashley of Hartland, Richard Jr. and Ann Morton of Shenandoah, Pa., and Katrina Morton of Rhode Island; two stepchildren, Julie and John St. Thomas of Presque Isle and Kirk and Katie Stevens of Hayes, Va.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nelson Jr. and Linda of Valdosta, Ga., and William Morton and Linda of Crystal; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
