BREWER and BANGOR – Robert “Bob” J. Boudreau, 85, husband of the late Valerie (Leavitt) Boudreau, died peacefully Oct. 27, 2011, at a Bangor health care center after a long illness. He was born May 8, 1926, in Bangor, the son of Odilon and Agnes (Bushway) Boudreau.

He was a lifelong resident of the Bangor area, except for a tour with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He attended John Bapst High School. He worked for many years at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and Dennis Beverage.

He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Boudreau of San Diego and Beth Husson of Brewer; as well as his two grandchildren, Timothy Husson, Ph.D., of Silver Spring, Md., and Jill Husson Martinez, M.D., of New York City.

A service honoring Robert’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where family and friends may visit 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in Bob Boudreau’s name to John Bapst Memorial High School, 100 Broadway, Bangor, ME
