WINTERPORT – Mary E. Clisham passed away Oct. 27, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1956, in Bangor, to Reginald and Helen Foley Clements.
Mary had many names: Mamie, Mare and Mom, but her favorite was Nana. On May 3, 1975, Mary married Steve Clisham.
Together they raised four children, Michelle Normand and her husband, Roland, of Cary, N.C., Steven II and his wife, Melanie, of Winterport, Michael and his wife, Jamie, of Hampden and John and his wife, Jenna, of El Segundo, Calif. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dylan Douglas, Thomas and Oliver Normand, Chloe Clisham, Ruby Clisham, Stephanie Clisham and Scott Clisham. Mary leaves behind a very special niece, who has always been like a daughter, Jenna Adams; a nephew, Nicholas Adams; also four devoted cousins, Kathryn-Ann Foley, Robert and Carol Stanley, and Patti Wheelden.
Family and friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in the Clisham family lot at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angel Flight NE, Lawrence Municipal Airport, 492 Sutton St., North Andover, MA 01845. Please include Mary’s name in the donation.
