FRENCHVILLE and FORT KENT – Claudia Belanger, 98, died peacefully Nov. 14, 2011, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born March 21, 1913, in Wallagrass, daughter of Edward and Victoir (Berube) Belanger.
Claudia was a member of Ladies of St. Anne, Wallagrass.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudette and her husband, Rodrigue Pinette, of Baker Lake, New Brunswick; two sons, Claude and his wife, Connie Belanger, and Bruce Belanger, all of Wallagrass; one sister, Mabel Guimond of Fort Kent; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lionel Belanger, in 1972; three sisters, Mamie Michaud, Nellie Amnott and Yvonne Michaud; three brothers, Philip, Oram, and Pit Belanger; and one grandchild.
Friends may call Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wallagrass.
