HUDSON – David P. Trask, 71, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 12, 2011, in Bradford. He was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Hudson, the son of Albert and Inez (Jack) Trask Sr.

In his early years, David worked on his father’s dairy farm. When his father retired, David worked in construction for a few years and then went into business for himself. He married the love of his life, Ruth (Allen) Trask, Sept. 12, 1959. When his son finished high school, he joined the business with his dad and they created David P. Trask and Son Inc. David was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his family and friends. David was the kind of person that would do anything for anyone in need.

In addition to his wife, Ruth of 52 years, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Megquier; his son, David A. Trask and his wife, Lisa; a daughter, Deanna Gould and her husband, Dion; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Albert G. “June” Trask Jr., George Trask, Keith Trask and Carl Trask; and three sisters, Elizabeth Eaton, Gloria Bouchard and Helen Freeman. He was predeceased by his infant son, Jeffrey David; his sister, Christine Brasslett; his father and mother; his in-laws, Fred and Mary Allen; and brother-in-law, George P. Allen Sr.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Because of the love David had for all children, those who wish may make donations in memory of Samuel Joseph Alexander to Sam’s Room, Children’s Cancer Treatment Center, care of Eastern Maine Center Charities, P.O.
