BREWER – Paula (Hopper) King, 47, quietly passed away Nov. 27, 2011, after a long debilitating battle with diabetes. She was born July 21, 1964, in Bangor, daughter of Cintra (Woodard) and Paul Hopper of Hampden.

She enjoyed the elderly, and as a nurse’s aide at Burr Elder Care she graciously served her hand picked homemade pies.

Later she worked at Phillips-Strickland House. She enjoyed nature in Maine, its coastline, trails and flowers. Paula was also a connoisseur of previously owned treasures and antiques.

She is survived by two sons, Eric and Ryan King; Ryan’s children, Cassidy, Zachary and Abigail; siblings, Melanie (Duplisea) Collins, Wendy and her husband, Steve Siegel, and her children, Jennifer and Jared Cartwright, and Mark and his wife, Kim Hopper, and their children, Morganne, Nicholas and Grace; and her fateful soul mate and caregiver, Kevin Davis. She will be missed by all.

A celebration of her life will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hampden Snowmobile Club, Western Avenue, Hampden. Donations in her name may be made to Beacon Hospice, 304 Hancock St., Bangor, ME 04401 who gave her such lovely, devoted care and we thank you all.
