SCARBOROUGH – Ambrose Berry, 56, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at home with his beloved wife, Sandra; family members, friends and pets by his side. He was born Dec. 14, 1954, in Farmington.

In 1988, he completed a Master of Business Administration, marketing concentration from Bentley College. For 33 years, he worked in the wood products industry, beginning at Kingfield Wood Products Co. as assistant manager and later as director of marketing and finance. In November 1984, he joined the H. He began as a weekend DJ at WTOS, Skowhegan, and later rekindled his DJ ways at WMPG – with his program called “The Listening Post,” an eclectic blend of music, with special focus on information, entertainment and education. Ambrose was a connoisseur of food and wine. An avid Red Sox and Packers fan, he was fortunate to see the Red Sox finally win the World Series, not once, but twice. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, and foraging for mushrooms, and many hikes. With his wife of 23 years, Sandra Wyman, he created a peaceful rustic retreat at Pine Point.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his mother, Eleanor Berry; two brothers, George Jr. and wife, Wendy, and William and wife, Lorraine; two sisters, Chris Berry and Melissa Jensen; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, George E. Berry. Special thanks are extended to Mercy Hospital Critical Care Unit, and Drs.
