GREENBUSH – Ellen Grace (True) Barnet, 81, passed away Dec. 22, 2011, at her home. She was born May 14, 1930, in Bangor, the daughter of Benjamin L. and Charlotte E. (Simpson) True.

Ellen worked at Byers for a short time and at Emple Knitting Mill for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and making quilts for her family. Ellen was an avid Beano player. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her life partner of 32 years, Thomas C. Hamel of Greenbush; daughters, Carolyn Saunders and husband, Michael, Lynn Barnet, Tammy Michaud and husband, Bill, Julie and Ronald Botson; grandchildren, Wendy Seymour and husband, Jason, Jennifer Beede and partner, Dustin Carey, Bill Barnet and wife, Kimberly, Kristy Sirois and husband, Kevin, Shawn Botson and Benjamin Graves; great-grandchildren, Matt, Alex, Nick, Joshua, Abigail, Hannah, Taylor, Delanie, Jeremiah, Sydney, Haley, Mackenzie and Riley; sisters, Joan and husband, Leo Hamel, and Maxine Barnett; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edwin J. Barnet, in 1966; three brothers, Reginald, Robert and Richard; and a sister, Barbara.

It was Ellen’s request that graveside funeral services would be private for the family. Gifts in her memory may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph, P.O. Box 1638, Bangor, ME 04402-1638. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, Bangor.
