CLIFTON – Lorin F. Lecleire, 52, died unexpectedly Jan. 9, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born July 24, 1959, in Bangor, son of Donald and Stella (Kennerly) Lecleire.

Lorin graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1979. He started working for Orono Fire Department in 1980, rising through the ranks to become fire chief in 1998, retiring in 2005. For the last year, he had been working as safety coordinator for Eastern Maine Health Care Systems. Lorin was a registered master Maine guide, avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed everything outdoors.

He is survived by his significant other, Judy Rolfe; the mother of his son, Snookey Lecleire-Karst and their son, Zachary S. Lecleire, all of Clifton; brother, Patrick Storey of Bucksport; sister, Vickie O’Connor of Bangor; especially the Kingsbury family, which adopted him as their own; many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.

A service of remembrance will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor Greg Selmon, of Grace Bible Church, Holden, officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
