HUDSON – The world has lost one of the funniest and most caring people today, Jan. 10, 2012. Maria Elena Preble passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Maria graduated from Nokomis Regional High School in 1971. She went on to receive her associate degree in social work from UCB in 1995, and later her bachelor’s degree in 2001. She worked at Dorothea Dix, where she enjoyed working with the clients and always treated them with respect and honesty. Maria had a tremendous love for life. She could often be seen fishing on the Narraguagus and chasing after her partner spotting wildlife and birds to be photographed.

She loved talking with family and friends.
