PORTLAND – Maxine Frances Dorr, 80, wife of the late Earl H. Dorr, died Jan. 26, 2012, at the Barron Center, Portland, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born July 2, 1931, in Addison, to John and Marcia (Fickett) Merritt.
She is survived by her sons, Darryl Dorr and wife, Amara, and Donald Dorr and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren, Billy Houck and wife, Amy, and their sons, Billy and Brandon, Tara Small and husband, Mark, and their daughter, Makayla, Derek Dorr and wife, Janene, and their children, Connor and Mackenzie, Tabatha Dorr and partner, Sarah, and Daniel Dorr and wife, Beth, and their son, Kyle; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vera and Donald Pelkey; and sister-in-law, Arlene and husband, Keith Hartford. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Earl; brothers, Merrill, Kenneth and Lawrence; and sister, Madeline.
Graveside services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
