BREWER – Linda (Adams) Hurd, 62, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Houlton. the daughter of Roy and Nilettie (Whitten) Adams.
Linda grew up in Houlton and was a graduate of Houlton High School. She graduated from nursing school in Westbrook. Linda enjoyed her career as a nurse and enjoyed working at Mars Hill Nursing Home, Crestview Manor and Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She had a love for horses and always showed great kindness to everyone in her nursing care.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Cyr and her husband, Roland, of Holden; sister, Evangeline Bates of Houlton; nephews, Norman, Beecher and Mark Cullins, and David Adams; and niece, Cheryl (Adams) Livengood. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband, Merle Hurd; and brothers, Lewis and Leroy Adams.
