  1. How about This SOLUTION instead?
Oil should ABSOLUTELY be better used as fuel for trucks, trains and planes. Oil is
much too valuable to be burned in a stationary building. Oil should be reserved as a
    Mobile fuel.
If you have Natural Gas available, Hook Up as soon as you can.
If you can’t, consider Heat Pump (3 to 1 heat/energy multiplier) or Wood Pellet
    systems.
Automatic large bin feed Pellet Boilers are available.
Energy Security Products, Main Rd. in Carmel has a nice system.
    Check ’em out.

How about setting up to heat with Maine made Wood Pellets?
HALF the price of oil, BTU for BTU.
Think about it then Try it.
You’ll see that Pellets are the way to go over oil.

    1. You spoke a nice story beginning to end but you took us right back to where it all starts…money. If people can’t afford fuel on their current heating system, how can they afford to replace it and pay for fuel too?

    2. No to the heat pump………Dont waste any money on them, especially in Maine…Too cold.
Only thing you will end up with is a sky high electric bill and a cold house..

  2. Ifyou don’t like Governor LePages politic’s-like his policy for spreading natural gas piplines. I just received by bill from Bangor gas for December-heat and hot water-$119.00.

  3. My woodstove is hooked up and ready to burn. This will be my last year of heating with oil until I can afford a pellet boiler system. Until then, I’ll be burning wood.
