ROCKLAND, Maine — Alcohol was a factor in a Sunday night crash in which a pickup truck struck a house, according to the Rockland Police Department.
The truck was heading north on West Meadow Road when the driver, Willam Willis, 67, of Rockland, lost control of the vehicle, which struck a tree and then careened into the house, Rockland Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said.
Willis suffered only minor injuries, according to police. No one else was injured.
Alcohol was a factor in the crash, Tower said. No charges have been filed.
Fire and emergency medical services personnel received the accident call shortly before 10 p.m. Feb. 5.
The truck ended up on the deck of the home and struck the doorway. There was damage to the doorway.
The city assessment records list the owner of the house as the heirs of Russell Connon.

WTH???? something is definately wrong here….”Alcohol was a factor in the crash, Tower said. No charges have been filed.”
I hope this was just a misprint…Oh My!!!!
I don’t think it’s a misprint. In order to prove the crime of OUI, the State has to prove the elements of the crime: that the person charged was indeed operating or attempting to operate(witness who saw him behind the wheel), and that his BAL was in excess of 0.08% at the time. If there were no witnesses who could testify that he was operating(house is listed as owned by “heirs of…” so likely no witnesses in residence) it would be a waste of time and money to charge him.
So what you are trying to say is the story doesn’t mention any proof of booze, just a suspicion? I agree.
Maybe they left off the word “yet”.
You have to keep an extra eye on the sky because those houses from Kansas are all looking for a landing zone…..
So much fail.
I’m glad he hit a tree first.
It could have gone way worse if he had hit the house full speed, especially at night with people sleeping.
Drivers keep hitting houses. I wonder why so many people have houses in the middle of the roads?
