OLD TOWN – Shirley Grace LaBree, 76, died Feb. 17, 2012, at a Bangor hospital with her family at her side. She was born May 24, 1935, in West Enfield, the daughter of James and Elsie (Lawrance) Monk.
Shirley’s favorite pastime was embroidery, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim and her husband, John Coulter, of Auburn, N.H., their son, Jacob and his wife, Erin, and children, Nolan, Olivia and Brody; and Pauline and her husband, Herbie Grant of Old Town, their daughter, Sara Grant, and her daughter, Natalie; a very special friend, Leatha Lucas; one brother, Arthur; three sisters, Ruby and two half sisters; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Shirley; son, Michael; one brother, James; and two sisters, Gloria and June.
Graveside services will be held in the spring. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Directors, Bangor.
