ABBOT – Vivian P. Trafton, 93, died Feb. 19, 2012, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Parkman, daughter of Roland and Vera (Stevens) Campbell.
She graduated from Abbot High School, class of 1936, and worked at Guilford Woolen Mill for many years. She was a 50-year member of the Pythian Sisters, Abbot, a member of Monson Sunshine Club, Abbot Historical Society and Abbot Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Barbara Trafton of Abbot and Helen Leighton of Amherst; eight grandchildren, Susan Trafton, Peggy Cleaves, Laurie Martell, Julie Dawkins, Corey Trafton, Jeff Downs, Jeanne Shae and Tamora Flynn; 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and special cousins, Charlene Clark of New Hampshire and Carolyn Barbour of Bangor and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Desmond H. Trafton; and three sons, Ronald, Roland and Malcolm.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St.,
Guilford, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Friends may call 2 p.m. until time of the service. Spring burial will be at Abbot Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pine Tree Hospice, 883 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft,
