BANGOR, Maine — A local man used a taxicab to get to the Penobscot Community Health Care facility on Union Street on Thursday and then called police saying he had a bomb, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Tuesday.
“There was a report that someone in the parking lot had a bomb” around 4 p.m., the sergeant said. “They locked down the building but could not locate the suspect.”
Police then called the local cab companies to see whether anyone had dropped off or picked up anyone from the location and found one who had Randy Berry, 61, in the back seat.
The cabdriver offered to return Berry to the Penobscot Community Health Care facility but police told him to head to the police station, which is where Berry was arrested.
He was charged with felony terrorizing as well as making a false public report, Edwards said. Berry could face a penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000, if convicted of the felony terrorizing charge.
He gets potentially more time than a spousal abuser? Go figure.

so it did not say.. i bet he got out on 60 bucks for bail he should stay till court is over for him there are a lot of people in that area someone could have been frightened enough to have a heart problem or a little kid scared put this guy away
Again and again. There isno room in the jails. These poor babies can’t be expected to have to share cable TV with a roommate. The judges are told by the state to leave them on the streets. If we put them in jail, all of the goodie 2 shoes will start yelling at Augusta that they are being kept in inhumane conditions. They need to be rehabilitated. If the jails are full, pitch a few tents out in the snow and let them stay there for a while. they deserve it.
Bet he was in in the cab longer than in jail. Pretty bad when cab fare cost more than bail
