SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Rachel Lee Wentworth, 36, died March 9, 2012, in Southwest Harbor. She was born Sept. 29, 1975, in Ellsworth, daughter of Robert Lee and Ann Marie (Mackey) Wentworth.

She graduated from Mount Desert Island High School in 1994. Rachel worked for Southwest Harbor Food Mart for five years. More recently she worked at Birch Bay Village, as a PSS assistant. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Manset. Rachel was a big fan of NASCAR and enjoyed going to the Loudon, N.H., races.

She is survived by her mother, Ann M. (Mackey) Wentworth of Southwest Harbor; three children, Zackary Wentworth, and Robert and Samantha Wark, all of Southwest Harbor; one brother, Bill Wentworth and wife, Alison, of Harker Heights, Texas; one sister, Angela Torell and husband, Timothy, of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; nieces; Britany and Amber Wentworth, Teagan Wentworth and Riley Torell; one nephew, Hunter Wentworth; and an uncle, Paul Mackey of Las Vegas. Rachel was predeceased by her father, Robert L. Wentworth.

Friends are invited to call 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Manset. Burial will be at Hillrest Cemetery, Tremont.
