SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Christine “Teen” Lillian Conlogue Moran Boutilier, our sweet, lovely mum, left us March 22, 2012. She was born July 8, 1919, “in back” on the farm in New Limerick, to Daniel Linwood Conlogue and Lala Ione (Horton) Conlogue.

She died at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, just a few doors down from the maternity ward, which was her favorite part of nursing and where she spent many happy hours with her colleagues, who affectionately call her “Mogie.” She graduated from Ricker Classical Institute, Houlton, in 1938 and then trained at Aroostook General Hospital to become a registered nurse. She was affiliated with hospitals in Providence, R.I., and Portland. Most of her nursing career was spent at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth. She also worked two years at Mount Desert Island Hospital and was camp nurse at Camp Jordan on Branch Pond for two summers in the early 1960s, which she enjoyed immensely. After retiring from Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, she worked at Courtland Nursing Home, Ellsworth. She moved back to New Limerick after the death of our father and met the second love of her life. They spent 18 wonderful years together, camping and fishing and exploring the back roads of the “county.” We’re sure many people remember her as a gentle, caring nurse. We remember her as a gentle, caring and fun mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Christine is survived by her son, Gary Moran and his wife, Lori, of Bucksport; daughter, Wanda Moran of Southwest Harbor; and six grandchildren, Shannan Hawkins and her husband, Rick, of Bakersfield, Calif., Stacy Davis and her husband, Pat, of Fort Stockton, Texas, Danette Connor and her partner, Edd Hamor, of Mount Desert, Joy Levesque and her husband, Michael, of Southwest Harbor, Brennen Moran and his partner, Noel Wingate, of Denver, Colo., and Glenn Moran of Bucksport; and 10 great-grandchildren, Destinee, Scott and Lexie Hawkins, Dustin and Tyler Horton, Evan Connor and his fiancee, Alana Tedesco, Jordan DeSalvo, Neil Long, Jacqueline Higgins, Matthew Levesque; and great-stepgranddaughter, Sarah King. She was blessed with a great-great-grandson, Jack Connor, Dec. 7, 2011. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mavis Conlogue of Pittsfield; cousin, Joyce Blake of Houlton; brothers-in-law, Bill Boutilier of Smyrna and Clyde Boutiler and his wife, Patti, of Oakfield; many nieces and nephews, who may remember her from many fun Fourth of July family reunions. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Conlogue; first husband, Glenn Moran; son, Stephen Moran; second husband, Wellman “Tod” Boutilier; and great-granddaughter, Amanda Christine.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at New Limerick Cemetery. Contributions in Christine’s memory may be made to Mary Dow Cancer Center, 50 Union St., Ellsworth, ME 04605. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert. Condolences may be expressed at
