OSBORN – Donna Lee Magoon, 68, died March 27, 2012, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. She was born May 23, 1943, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Elmer and Wilda (Hardison) Rankin.

Donna loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed being a mentor to them. She was an avid cook and will be remembered as a very giving person who always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed all the Shrine activities with her husband, David, and particularly enjoyed the Northeast Shrine Association events.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, David Magoon Sr. of Osborn; two sons, David Magoon Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Osborn and Daniel Magoon and his wife, Louise, of Bradley; two daughters, Dawn Abram of Bar Harbor and Deanne Merring and her husband, Christopher, of Mount Arlington, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, Shawna, Robert, Joshua, Ricky, Danielle, Nicholas, Samuel, Elizabeth, Christopher and Noel; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mallorie, Mark and Ryder; half brother, Stephen Rankin of Bangor; half sister, Roberta Alexander of Glenburn; and a very special cousin, Sandra Greenwood of Winter Harbor.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 30. Interment will be at Aurora-Osborn Cemetery.
