ORRINGTON – Wilfred “Skip” Kenny, 78, passed away April 8, 2012, at Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born May 25, 1933, in Charleston, son of Nina A. Gellerson and George D. Lukfin.

Skip was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and then in the U.S. Army in Germany, where he met his beloved wife, Elisabeth, who died April 5, 2011. Skip worked as a baker at Bangor Mental Health Institute for 22 years.

Skip and Liz have seven children: son, Heinz Kenny and wife, Leanne, of Orrington, son, Oscar Kenny and wife, Dottie, of Jacksonville, N.C., son, Frank Kenny and wife, Myrna, of Newburgh, son, Ronald Kenny and wife, Deborah, of Carmel, son, Walter Kenny and wife, Laurie, daughter, Nena Antone and husband, Larry, and son, Henry Kenny and wife, Sue, all of Orrington; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
