HOULTON – Christine Phoebe (Campbell) O’Hara died April 9, 2012, in Houlton. She was born June 27, 1926, in Patten, the daughter of Fred W. and Pearl E. (Young) Campbell.
Christine was a direct descendant of the Mayflower and was a member of the Mayflower Society, Constance Hopkins Colony and Houlton United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Oliver and her husband, James, of Johnson City, Tenn.; a son, Michael O’Hara of Houlton; four grandchildren, Michael McCarthy and his wife, Michelle, of Dover, N.H., Patty (McCarthy) Duggins and her husband, Darren, of Maiden, N.C., Rachel Cable and Jason Oliver of Johnson City, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, John and Madelyn Duggins, Katie and Allen Oliver, Skyler Cable and Sian McCarthy; and a sister, Jean Tarr of Patten. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy; daughter-in-law, Ruth; three brothers, Charles Sibley, Neal Campbell and Clayton Campbell; and a sister, Arlene Huntley.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. May 18 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Naomi Sam-Kpakara officiating.
