WESTBROOK, Conn. – Erwin D. Wilcox, 71, died April 19, 2012, in Westbrook, Conn. He was born Sept. 21, 1940, in Caribou, the son of George and Nettie (Drost) Wilcox.

Erwin worked in construction for many years until retiring. Erwin enjoyed spending time fishing and watching the old westerns on TV. Erwin was always ready to help anyone that needed anything.

Erwin leaves behind his lovely stepmother, Marilyn Wilcox of Caribou; four sons, Erwin Jr. and Janice Wilcox of Bangor, William Wilcox of Florida, Albert Wilcox of Bangor and Howard Wilcox of Westbrook, Conn.; two daughters, Bonnie Ramirez of Westbrook and Margert Cordoba of East Galesburg, Ill.; three sisters, Louise McDougal of Caribou, Kathy and Harold Dubay of Caribou and Lori and Paul Knox of West Chester, Pa.; nine brothers, George and Zelda Wilcox Jr. of Gorham, Galen and Annette Wilcox of Old Saybrook, Conn., Alden and Gail Wilcox of Boones Mill, Va., Dennis and Norma Webber of Charlotte Hall, Md., Larry and Judy Webber of Princeton, N.C., Reggie and Jeanne Webber of Beaumont, Texas, Randy and Paula Webber of Hanover, Md., Jeff Webber of Baltimore, and Dwight and Gail Wilcox of Woodland; 26 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Erwin was predeceased by his wife, Donna Wilcox; sisters, Bonnie and Eilee Mary Wilcox; brother, Mike Webber; mother and father, George and Nettie (Drost) Wilcox; granddaughter, Tena McGraw; and two great-grandchildren, Jarmaine Ramirez and Scott McGraw.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. May 5 at Indian River Cemetery, Clinton, Conn. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society in his name.
