ORRINGTON, Maine — Sixteen residents of Johnson Mill Road woke up Saturday morning to find their mailboxes demolished, Sgt. Jon Carson, Orrington’s community policing supervisor for the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department, said Monday.

“Somebody hit some mailboxes,” the sergeant said.

The first criminal mischief complaint was made at 8:25 a.m. Saturday, and the last was received just before noon that day.

Those with information about who destroyed the mailboxes can call the Orrington public safety office at 825-4178.

    1. Clearly on the orders of ALEC and the Koch Brothers.  It’s their way of killing the post office, one mailbox at a time.

  1. I think a simple fine of one hudred dollars per mail boax would help, once they catch the person, probably a local teenager.

    1. Yes-clearly a local teenager committed these heinous acts-they do possess all of the baseball bats normally used…or an adult did it WHO USED TO BE A LOCAL TEENAGER.
