MATTAWAMKEAG – Jeannette M. Rush, 68, wife of Vincent P. Rush Sr., passed away May 13, 2012, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1944, in Bangor, daughter of Lawrence and Loretta (Vaillancourt) Conroy.
Jeannette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s functions. You’d never see her without a camera in her hand and could never forget the smile on her face. She was a special person who loved to do things for people that needed help and will forever be in our hearts. She loved country music, and enjoyed going to music jams and playing bingo.
In addition to her husband, Vincent, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Vincent Jr. and Kelly, Lori York and Galen, and Jason and Kendra; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Conroy and Judy, and Frank Conroy and Darilee; and sister, Marilyn Hewes and Randy. Special thanks to caregivers, Debbie Wickette and Lori McLaughlin, Mattawamkeag Rescue, Dr. Dunstan of Millinocket, and the staff at Millinocket Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Lee.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr, presiding. Interment will be at Mattawamkeag Cemetery.
