ORRINGTON – Sylvia M. Bouchard, 84, wife of Lionel S. Bouchard, died May 24, 2012, at her home after a long illness. She was born July 10, 1927, in Orrington, daughter of Carroll and Bessie (Young) Worcester.
Sylvia was a devoted wife and mother, and a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. Sylvia was the oldest of 12 children.
She is survived by her husband of Orrington; one daughter, Margaret “Peg” Shields of Orrington; a son, Alan Shields of Sacramento, Calif.; a grandson, Roger Shields of Orrington and six other grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Worcester of Bangor, Edward Worcester of Levant, Wayne Worcester of North Carolina and James Tracy of Lewiston; two sisters, Kathy Wyles of Bucksport and Regina Thomas of Florida; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Joseph Shields; and five brothers, Leslie, Murton, Stanley, Charles and Clifford.
