CASTINE – Mrs. Margaret Wheeler Hall passed away Nov. 3, 2011. She was born Oct. 11, 1908, and was married June 22, 1938.
She held undergraduate and graduate degrees from Wheaton College and Radcliffe College. She taught school for more than 40 years and traveled widely with her husband.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Robert King Hall; parents, Clarence Albion Wheeler and Maud Lillian Marshall Wheeler; sister, Elizabeth Louise Wheeler; son-in-law, Robert Ryland Chaffin; and granddaughter-in-law, Monica Portwood Chaffin. She is survived by her children, Marshall King Hall and wife, Carol Ann Hall, Louise Hall Chaffin, and Margaret Jean Hall; grandchildren, Tracy Chaffin Wilson and husband, Chad Malcolm Wilson, Robert Marshall Chaffin, and Sherry Hall Culves and husband, John William Culves Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Ryland Robert Wilson, Courtney Louise Wilson, John William Culves III and Riley Castine Culves.
A memorial funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Castine Unitarian Church, 86 Court St. All are welcome!
