OLD TOWN – George F. Willette, 62, passed away June 5, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 21, 1950, in Bangor, a son of the late Forest and Verna (Gonyar) Willette.

George graduated from Brewer High School in 1969. He was employed several years by UNISHIP as a courier driver. George was a member of the Eagles Club, Brewer, for many years. He spent most of his life as a resident of Eddington. George enjoyed motorcycles, karaoke and his scratch tickets.

He is survived by his two sons, Wayne Willette of Old Town and Joseph Willette of Old Town; siblings, Roger Willette and his companion, Samantha Sanborn, of Milford, and Patty Martin and her husband, Gary, of Old Town; nephews, Timothy Martin, Zachary Willette and Dylan Willette; and a niece, Lindsay Willette. He also leaves behind a special friend of many years, Allyson Ames of Bangor.

Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.   1. Goodbye old friend.  Its been many years since we went fishing on Meadowbrook. I remember the good times we had…not many fish…plenty of bugs. Tom Bryant
