WASHBURN – Frances A. Dickinson, 86, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was born April 11, 1926, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, daughter of Bertis and Sylvia (Butler) Davenport.
Frances was married to Clifton Dickinson for 45 years before he passed away in 1989. Frances worked for more than 15 years for McCain Foods, Washburn, as well as a faithful member of Dunntown Advent Christian Church for many years.
Frances is survived by her children and their spouses, Clifton “Kit” and wife, Linda Dickinson, of Topsham, Roger Dickinson of Bristol, R.I., Robert and wife, Beverly Dickinson of Fort Worth, Texas, Sally and husband, Bill Sargent, of Wade, and Joann Powell of Greencastle, Pa. She also leaves behind a sister, Esther Butterfield of Ocala, Fla.; and grandchildren, Laura Weatherbie, Lissa Madore, Billy Sargent, Jason Sargent, Julie Bean and Scott Powell. She will also be missed by 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Clifton, Frances was predeceased by her parents.
Friends and family may call 1-2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a funeral service will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Interment will take place after services at Fairview Cemetery, Perham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WFST, P.O.
