BANGOR – Sally Elizabeth Frost, 59, passed away peacefully June 7, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Bangor, daughter of Eugene and Carrie (Abrams) Syphers.

Sally graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1971. Sally was owner of Frost Logging Co. along with her husband of 38 years, Gary E. Frost. Sally was also a dance teacher for more than 20 years at Thomas School of Dance. She spent her life enjoying the outdoors, traveling, hiking, biking and running with her dear friends, completing her first marathon at age 56. She also treasured time spent with her granddaughter, Adala.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Gary, are her son, Adam and girlfriend, Morgan; daughter, Carrie and fiance, Garrett; granddaughter, Adala; brother, Eugene Syphers and wife, Linda; sister, Carol Tolman and husband, Raymond; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of life in honor of Sally 3-5 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the family home, 64 Thomas Hill Road, Bangor.

  1. Sally’s positive attitude, persistance, and talent were, and shall remain, an inspiration. I consider myself lucky to have known her and been a dance student of hers. Her choreography was as unique as any I have seen — and far more fun than most!
