BREWER – Sharon Elaine (Mills) McPhee, 66, passed away June 20, 2012, at home, among family and friends. She was born Aug. 13, 1945, in Calais, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Grass) Mills.

She grew up at Lambert Lake and graduated salutatorian from Vanceboro High School in 1963. Sharon moved to Bangor shortly thereafter and had a 40-year career in the data entry field. She and her legendary whoopie pies will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Dean L. McPhee of Brewer; two children, Shawn McPhee and wife, Lisa, of Bangor, and Andy McPhee of Brewer; two grandchildren, Connor and Brianne; three sisters, Annette Blair of Vanceboro, Linda Cropley of Lambert Lake, and Joyce MacKay and husband, Donnie, of McAdam, New Brunswick; one brother, Keith Mills and wife, Linda, of Clifton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family thanks her niece, Tracey Smith and husband, David; and her nephew, Kim McPhee and wife, Peggy, for all of their help and support. The family also wishes to acknowledge Bangor Area Visiting Nurses, and Hospice of Eastern Maine for all their help and kindness.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 25, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
