HAMPDEN – Michael R. Pelkey, 52, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born July 21, 1959, in Lewiston, son of Clarence and Marian Jeannette (Abbott) Pelkey.
He attended school at Leavitt Area High School, Turner. He worked odd jobs throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his mother, Marian Jeannette Latham of Leeds; sister, Patricia Harris and husband, Roger, of North Monmouth; brother, Donald Pelkey and wife, Esther, of California; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Pelkey, in 1968.
A graveside service and interment will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Valley Cemetery, Route 202, Greene.
