LIVERMORE FALLS, Maine —Police charged a 15-year-old local boy Monday night with slashing four tires on a parked vehicle on Foundry Road.

A woman was walking on the Foundry Road bike and pedestrian path and saw a boy running away from her vehicle, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. As she got closer to it, she saw all four tires were slashed, he said.

Police were given a description of the boy and police officer Robert Samson picked him up near Park and Cedar streets and charged him with criminal mischief. He was released to his guardians, Steward said.

A knife was recovered, he said.

The case will be sent to a juvenile case manager. The boy is scheduled to appear Aug. 6 in Juvenile Court in Lewiston.

  1. What an expensive pain in the backside!  Hope the kids parent had to cough up dough to cover the charge of the tow and the four new tires.

  2. Makes me wonder if there is a motive or was this just a random act? Not that it really matters in the long run

  3. So many kids have absolutely no respect for other people or their property.
Too bad they can’t publish his name so we can follow his life of crime in the future. He should have to work to pay for the tires and related charges. That should keep him busy this summer.
I hope he changes his ways. This could be his life changing wake-up call.
