WATERVILLE, Maine — A local man was arrested twice in a three-hour span early Sunday, first for a fight outside a local bar and then for violation of bail conditions, police said.
Police went to what Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey called a large fight outside a Silver Street tavern in which officers had to break up altercations in the middle of Main Street.
One man, Louis Malloy, 26, of Oakland refused to stop fighting and was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, Rumsey said.
Malloy was released on bail from the police station and his bail conditions stated he couldn’t possess alcohol or be outside his home between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Rumsey said.
Later Sunday morning, around 3:45, police received a report of three men breaking windows on Western Avenue.
One of the men turned out to be Malloy, so he was arrested again, but this time police took him to Kennebec County Jail, where he remains Monday, Rumsey said. The other two men were not arrested.
Nobody was injured in the fight outside the Silver Street tavern.
